Where we shop: Get the Goods
Getting anime goods is something that any anime fan could ever want to do after watching one of their favorite shows. Now the biggest question that then comes to mind for some is where do I go to get my goods. Of course, in the world of international e-commerce, you have thousands of options to shop from all offering you deals and merchandise that others don’t have. While you could easily do a quick Google search to find what you are looking for here are a few of our favorite places to shop based on past experiences.
The first spot we love to shop at is Rightstuf Anime. This website has long been one of our go-to places to get almost any anime goods. From figures and plushes to manga and Blu-ray, RightStuf Anime has you covered head to toe with anime goods. While they don’t always have some of the harder-find series merch they do have quite a swath of goods that can usually lead you to something that will interest you.
Our biggest tip is to utilize their frequent sales to get the best deals. We tend to make a larger purchase during the holiday season as you can find many deals that are anywhere from 50%-90% off making it very easy to get whatever you may want.
Our next favorite place to shop for anime goods, specifically apparel, we have BoxLunch. Now BoxLunch does not only have anime goods but almost anything from major fandoms such as Friends, Disney, Avatar the Last Airbender, and of course various anime series.
Now we mentioned that we love BoxLunch for their apparel because this is one of the places that doesn’t have just printed-on logos or promo images. Many of the items you will find will have will be unique and a real stand out piece. Just be sure to look a size up in hoodies and some shirts as they have a tendency to not be pre-shrunk and thus can dramatically change in size after a wash.
Now as far as figures go sometimes it can be a dime a dozen, or a couple hundred dollars for one. But if you are looking for a unique and well-designed figure/statue that is more than just your favorite character check out FavorGK.
While there are many large companies that make fantastic statues, FavorGK is a hub for great designs from various studios that have their creations come to life thanks to FavorGK’s resin manufacturing. They have fantastic quality with a decent range in price.
Last we have Crunchyroll. Now this one is more of a combo as we get a deal with having a membership to stream anime and thus it makes it a decent way to get savings on things you may have already wanted.
Now Crunchyroll does tend to have more generic goods but now the less being in the anime industry they do get a lot of the official merch for your favorite series and do have fairly frequent sales happening.
Now of course, as mentioned at the start there are thousands of places to shop but these are just a few that we have used and are fairly happy with thus far. Hopefully, we can tip our toes into different stores down the line local and online but keep following along with us every other Friday.
