Anime Quick News

Suzume Us Release - April 14

Makoto Shinkai’s latest film Suzume is finally releasing in the US in theaters on April 14. Suzume is already outpacing Your Name and Weathering with You based on their first 3-days in theaters. Tickets can be purchased already at many of the larger theater chains across the country. For many who are looking to see it, Fandango is showing which theaters will be showing what is hoped to be the new top-earning anime film of the decade.

Romancing perspective

Crunchyroll released the romantic movie pair To Me, The One Who Loved You, and To Every You I've Loved Before earlier this month with outstanding audience commentary. The movie pair focuses on shifting the viewer’s perspective depending on which order it is watched in. The question then becomes how audience members will perceive the films after multiple viewings. While we have enjoyed the first viewing we wonder if this will prevent any enjoyment of future viewings due to the novelty wears off.
